Every year for the past five years, MADtv’s writers store up their favorite censored and rejected scenes from that season and put together a one-time performance of these scenes at CIF. Since their first performance at CIF, MADtv’s producers have watched to see how these censored and rejected scenes play to live audiences. Several of these scenes gained a second life and were broadcast as part of MADtv’s regular show. The MADtv Writers on Hiatus cast of includes Jim Wise, as an actor, known for his role as Coach Tugnut in the Disney Channel Original Series Even Stevens; John Crane (one win & four nominations Writers Guild of America; producer, Stephen Cragg (four nominations Writers Guild of America), and Colton Dunn, alumni of Boom Chicago.
